The Killarney Optometric Centre uses the Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer which is generally considered the “gold standard” of visual field testing. The visual field test provides the Doctor of Optometry with a “map” of your peripheral and central vision. It is used in many different situations in eye care, namely Glaucoma, vision changes due to stroke or other neurological defect, for providing information to Manitoba Public Insurance regarding driver license renewal, and many others.
